If you look sharply at the enlarged centre image, you will see
a bit of pale blue. It (probably) is the far side of the crescent lake, likely seen also between the branches of a near tree
in the photo to the right.

Each of these little images when clicked, enlarges. "Back" returns you here.

Some years ago the crescent lake could clearly be seen. Today, the trees have grown so much that the viewing tower
needs to be raised. A "crow's nest" reached by ladder? --TG

In the Fall with leaves gone, there is a better view of the crescent lake.
Click each miniature for enlarged images, and to get a sharp large view of the lake.

Click image! On maps, the C-shaped lake
surrounds the elevated centre of crater.

The brown above is not grass, but treetops. . . The steep blue hills are the distant side.
