hidden dangers in camping out!

Camping Outdoors in Mattawa By David M. grade 6

There are many places to camp out in Mattawa
but there is one really good place and that is
up by the crosses on Lorenchant mountain.
Now that is a very good place to camp overnight:
you get all the night sounds like bears growling
and owls hooting, also wolves howling
and snakes hissing.
   ...
Most camping places there don't have cabins,
so you need a tent, and some fire lighter.
They give you wood and water but if you
want to fish you will have to bring fishing
equipment from home. Bring some flashlights
plus some bug repellant.
That's mostly all you need to camp around
our town. Oh you might need a first aid kit.

Mostly all the skills you will need to know
are how to make fire, set up your tent,
cook, fish and how to survive on your own
in the wilderness.

There are some precautions though, like remembering to put out
your fire well or you might burn down the forest. Remember don't
leave meat outside or inside but put it in a sealed container so bears
won't know it is there. Always remember to bring your first aid kit.
