CLAY in the PINES

Part three of Hands-On Heritage;
creating pinch pots led to a new awareness
of hand methods used by natives.

Intermediates worked with clay in the sun.

And the little kids had shade.

Junior students had lots of fun

...and said, "Look what I have made!"

Finishing touches and decorations were added,
and after the clay is really dry, they become
waterproof after firing in a kiln.
